If your application or any updates were completed prior to July 2008, you should receive a postcard in the mail within the next few days (if we have your current mailing address). Please tear off the bottom portion and drop it back into a mailbox. This response will ensure that your name remains on our Waiting Lists. Please return your card prior to January 2, 2009. Failure to return the card will remove your name from all waiting lists, and you are welcome to re-apply.12/14/2008 Offices ClosedThe HCAAC Offices will be closed Thursday, December 25, and Friday, December 26 for the Christmas holiday. We will also be closed Thursday, January 1 to celebrate the arrival of 2009.08/11/2008 NOTICE TO LANDLORDS-UPDATEOur Thanks to all Landlords who have provided bank information to allow us to process automatic direct deposits. HousekeepingWHAT IS CONSIDERED GOOD HOUSEKEEPING?The Housing Commission expects you to keep a clean and orderly home according to your Lease Agreement. In fact, the standards are listed on pages 7 & 8 of your Lease Agreement. A clean house helps keep your family healthy, sets a good example for your children, makes it easier to find things, helps prevent fires & pest infestations, and increases overall home safety. HOUSEKEEPING INSPECTIONSAll residents are required to keep their unit clean and free of trash, debris and clutter, as explained in the Lease (“Housekeeping Standards”). A failed annual or special housekeeping inspection may result in the termination of your Lease, so it is very important that your unit is always kept up to these required standards. If you need assistance or advice on improving your housekeeping skills, contact the Human Service Caseworker at your community for details. They have information on contract cleaning services available at a nominal cost, or simply good tips on cleaning methods and products that you can purchase very inexpensively. HOUSEKEEPING “TIPS”
IS THERE A LAUNDRY ROOM NEARBY?A laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers is provided in each community for residents only. Please don’t use more than two washers and dryers at a time and don’t leave your laundry unattended. Should the washers or dryers need repair, call the phone number listed on the machine or notify your Property Manager. |
