08/11/2008 WAITING LIST PURGEThe semi-annual waiting list purge has been completed. Postcards were mailed to all applicants and their emergency contacts who have had no file activity prior to Jan 08. Each applicant who received a postcard was requested to tear off a portion and to drop it in return mail. All postage was paid. If the applicant failed to do so, they were removed from all waiting lists and are certainly welcome to re-apply.08/11/2008 NOTICE TO LANDLORDS-UPDATEOur Thanks to all Landlords who have provided bank information to allow us to process automatic direct deposits. This process has saved us many hours of manual labor, and has afforded you quicker access to payments. For the few that still have not responded, please do so as soon as possible.06/25/2008 NOTICE TO LANDLORDSOver the past several months we have made you aware that effective July 1, 2008 HCAAC would no longer issue checks for subsidy payments for your clients. If you have not provided the required bank information to us, you need to do so immediately to facilitate the release of your payments. Resident ServicesStoney Hill has an on-site manager available Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The number is 410-222-6232. Other times you may call 410-222-6241. Our on-site human services caseworker visits one day a week to assist families with everyday functions and problems and insures that residents maintain independent lifestyles. The resident council represents the rights and needs of the Stoney Hill residents. They work directly with the Housing Commission staff on matters that pertain to you, the residents. You will be issued a Welcome Wagon booklet at admission describing how to join your council. Activities ProgramThe Stoney Hill Resident Council often has bingo in the community center as well as holiday parties and meetings. Stoney Hill residents are invited to go to the O'Malley Center adjacent to the Stoney Hill community. Activities include arts and crafts, such as ceramics and painting, outings around the County, the Center also serves a meal at noon everyday.
