We are currently completing orientations for public housing and section 8 families who wish to better their futures and hope to increase their employment ability and/or move to home ownership. Pumphrey House was originally built in 1863; it was purchased by the Housing Commission in 2000, and renovations were completed in June of 2002. This historic building and the adjoining addition contain 15 units, providing housing for frail elderly residents. A menu of assistance services are available to residents, from housekeeping to laundry services, enabling them to live independently at very reasonable cost. Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers are accepted at Pumphrey House. |
