08/11/2008 WAITING LIST PURGEThe semi-annual waiting list purge has been completed. Postcards were mailed to all applicants and their emergency contacts who have had no file activity prior to Jan 08. Each applicant who received a postcard was requested to tear off a portion and to drop it in return mail. All postage was paid. If the applicant failed to do so, they were removed from all waiting lists and are certainly welcome to re-apply.08/11/2008 NOTICE TO LANDLORDS-UPDATEOur Thanks to all Landlords who have provided bank information to allow us to process automatic direct deposits. This process has saved us many hours of manual labor, and has afforded you quicker access to payments. For the few that still have not responded, please do so as soon as possible.06/25/2008 NOTICE TO LANDLORDSOver the past several months we have made you aware that effective July 1, 2008 HCAAC would no longer issue checks for subsidy payments for your clients. If you have not provided the required bank information to us, you need to do so immediately to facilitate the release of your payments. The location of Glen Square is perfect for those who need convenience to nearby shopping, or just enjoy walking in the town center or through the quiet residential areas around the community. There is easy access to all modes of transportation from Glen Square. Activities and ProgramsGlen Square is a very active community! The residents have organized a number of activities that occur weekly and monthly. The Resident Council acts as the social planning mechanism, and offers such events as Bingo, trips, and dinners. <>A moderate level of assisted living services are available at Glen Square for elderly residents, and may be supplemented by funds from the Office on Aging.
Nutrition ServicesGlen Square residents are invited to visit the Multi-Purpose Room (first floor) for noon meals. Located close by is the Pascal Center. For more information you can call 410- 222-6680. These programs give the seniors the opportunity to socialize. Resident CouncilThe Resident Council at Glen Square is very active. Monthly meetings are held and a year long calendar of events are planned. Some of the weekly events include bingo and nutritious lunch, while trips are planned throughout the year to Atlantic City, shopping sprees, and the other attractions that are in the area. Human ServicesAn on-site caseworker and doctor are available on certain days to assist you with your needs. |
